3DGE supports a wide array of data formats for the end-user. Below is a short list:
ARCHIVE FORMATS
PK3 - Quake 3 (etc) ZIP format with namespace support
PK7 - 7Zip compressed archive format
PAK - Quake WAD equivalent
MODEL FORMATS
MD2 - Quake 2 Model format
MD3 - Quake 3: Arena Model format (3DGE only)
MD5 - DOOM 3 Model format (3DGE-only)
MDL - Half-Life Model format (3DGE-only)
SOUNDS
OGG - Ogg Vorbis sound format
WAV - DOOM WAV format
MIDI - DOOM MIDI format
